Canada & Condom Use

Condom use and sexual behaviour are known determinants of sexual health. The extent to which this applies can be found in data gathered by the Canadian government funded study performed in 2003 and in 2009/2010. In this study they took into account age, condom use and number of partners (over the course of a year). I wanted to deliver the data in an interactive format that allows the viewer to digest the information at their own pace. This would help the viewer learn trends and relationships between data sets.

Translating the Data

Translating the Data

The most challenging part of this project was to digest the multivariate data and translate it into a didactic visual, to be understood at a glance.

I wanted the viewer to be able to change the year and and age, to witness the changes and evolution of sexual behaviour. To explore the dangers of decreased reported condom use
